JSO: Person shot on Stuart Street, suspect sought by police

A person suffered non-life-threatening injuries Saturday after being shot on the Northside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A person suffered non-life-threatening injuries Saturday after being shot on the Northside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Police responded at about 8:05 p.m. Saturday to the 3900 block of Stuart Street after receiving word that a person was shot.

Officers located the victim, who was transported with non-life-threatening injuries to a local hospital.

The investigation is still in its early stages, a JSO spokesperson said.

JSO did not release any details regarding the suspect or the victim as of Saturday night.
