JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is searching for two suspects who are accused of shooting a juvenile in the Baymeadows area Thursday afternoon.
The incident happened in the 8200 block of Dix Ellis Trail around 1:28 p.m.
When officers arrived on the scene they found a juvenile who advised he had been shot, JSO said.
Police believe the juvenile was in an altercation with a couple of other males. During the altercation, an individual pulled out a gun and fired a shot, according to police.
One juvenile victim was shot in his side during the incident and has been transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, JSO said.
Two suspects were involved in the shooting.
The first suspect is described as a man wearing a black beanie-style hat, a black T-shirt, and black pants. The second suspect is described as a man wearing a black hoodie, with medium-sized dreads and a goatee, JSO said.
The suspect vehicle is described as either a black or grey sedan.
