Identities of 2 victims involved in Bartram Springs fatal hit-and-run bicycle crash will not be released

The SJSO said the families of the victims involved in the crash have invoked Marsy's Law, so no information about the victims will be released.

The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office said that the identities of the victims involved in Saturday's fatal hit-and-run bicycle crash will not be released.

Around 10 a.m. Saturday two bicyclists were hit by a man driving a 2016 Hyundai Azera along Racetrack Road near Bartram Springs Parkway, deputies said.

Deputies said that the driver of that vehicle fled the scene, and the two bicyclists were pronounced dead at the scene.

The vehicle involved in the crash was recovered from a home late Saturday, but the occupants of the home have not yet been located, deputies said.

The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office said the families of the victims involved in the crash have invoked Marsy's Law, so no information about the victims will be released to the public.

Deputies are asking anyone with information related to this incident to contact the sheriff's office.
