Almost six months after the owners of Wing Depot pleaded not guilty to beating a veteran outside of a legion hall, one of the pair has been found guilty of attacking the 66-year-old back in 2015.

A jury spent less than two hours Wednesday deliberating at the Duval County Courthouse before finding William Lodge guilty of aggravated battery on a person over 65 years old. He'll be sentenced in April.

That same jury found Terry Lodge, the other person accused in the attack, not guilty.

The husband and wife pair pleaded not guilty back in July of last year on felony charges stemming from an attack in the parking lot outside an American Legion hall in the Fort Carolina area from 2015.

Witnesses told police the veteran was trying to get the bartender's attention at the Wing Depot before leaving the bar and heading outside. Witnesses also said William followed the vet outside and then began to beat him.

The Lodges were arrested that night after witnesses told police Terry also participated in the attack.
