The entire city of Starke has shut off its water to residents Tuesday afternoon in order to repair a broken water main.
The shut off happened at 3:30 p.m. and it's expected to last about two hours until around 5:30 p.m., according to the Starke Police Department.
The sheriff with the Bradford County Sheriff's Office said the 12-inch water main break happened in the Edwards Road area. Originally, water was out for residents south and west of Orange Street and Madison Street.
Police said once the water is back on, a boil water order will be in effect for about 48 hours. Residents should boil all water they plan to use for drinking and cooking.
