Alex Osiadacz joined First Coast News as a Reporter-Multi-Skilled Journalist in January 2017.

A Chicago native, Alex traded-in the snow for hot and humid summers long before arriving in Florida. He graduated magna cum laude from Georgia State University with a B.A. in journalism, then packed his bags for Tyler, Texas to start his reporting career at the ABC affiliate.

Some of his most memorable stories from more than two years in Texas include a dying father’s advice to his daughter, the road to recovery of a bicyclist hit by a car, and chasing down several tornadoes.

In college, Alex earned several awards for his reporting including recognition from the Southeast Journalism Conference after his investigation uncovered a hazing incident. He completed internships with WSB-TV, Atlanta's ABC affiliate and the New Georgia Encyclopedia. He served as news director for Georgia State’s student TV station in his senior year at GSU.

In his spare time, Alex enjoys golfing, traveling, cooking, and rooting on his beloved Chicago sports teams.
