Wind Chill Wednesday
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Good Morning! They are back! Wind chills have dropped into the upper 20s to near freezing this morning. Make sure to bundle up the little ones and protect the pets and plants! The good news is this polar air will bring us not just a cold day but a sunny and beautiful day! Highs will be in the upper 50s or about 10 degrees below average.
Tonight we have the Geminid meteor shower with great viewing condition. Look northeast after midnight until 6 a.m. with over 100 meteors per hour possible. These meteors are known for long, bright streaks across the sky and with mostly clear skies and a new moon phase we should have plenty of opportunities to watch one of nature's wonders. Lows will be in the upper 30s to lower 40s.
Thursday get the golf clubs back out. We are in a very fast progressive pattern. Highs back 70.
Friday now looks drier with a front falling apart. Highs make it back in the lower 70s.
Weekend: A cooler Saturday with lower to middle 60s and a warmer Sunday with lower to middle 70s. It looks dry and sunny with our rain day now holding off until Monday.
The colder pattern looks to be trending warmer now with more warm days than cold days as we head into next week and Christmas. The cold trough heads west which favors warmer days here at home.
