MIAMI (AP) -- A Miami teacher has been fired after an investigation determined she provided alcohol and condoms to students.
An administrative law judge suspended Isabel Diaz-Almaraz without pay starting in September 2012.
WPLG Local 10 (http://bit.ly/1aOu5pF) reports that the Miami-Dade County School Board terminated her employment Wednesday.
Her attorney asserted her actions were "not a career-ending mistake."
The Miami-Dade County Public Schools Civilian Investigative Unit report says Diaz-Almaraz participated in a "multitude of grossly inappropriate conduct" while a fine arts dance teacher at South Miami Senior High School.
The investigation began in July 2012 when a parent reported a photo Diaz-Almaraz posted on her Facebook account showing herself posing with students while holding small bottles of alcohol.
The report says the teacher had also rented a post-prom hotel room for students and allowed them to skip classes by staying in her office.
